A 40ft freefall then I was suppposed to slide thru the point where the rope reaches tension. The rope was backwards thru my figure 8, so I popped to a dead stop and slammed into the cliff head first. Oops/ owch! My arm still aint right

That was hilarious. Thank you for posting. We use different terms up here in Canada. e.g. Rappelling is where you lower yourself down, not just jump off a cliff. I'm really looking forward to your demo of a
 top-rope slingshot belay, where you get launched upwards like a human catapult. :) That would be even better than this one. Thanks again.
